 I am a native of Gold Beach, and have been a member of this community for most of my life. Having the opportunity to grow up in Gold Beach was great because of the safe, friendly small town atmosphere and the many outdoor activities our community offers. I have the fondest memories of camping along the Rogue River, hiking in the forest, swimming in the many creeks, and playing on the beach.
When I graduated from high school, I left Gold Beach for the "big city" of Salem, Oregon to attend Western Baptist College. Upon finishing college with a bachelor's degree in psychology, I took some time off to travel and volunteer. While I was away from Gold Beach, I began to miss the things I had taken for granted my whole life like being near the ocean, breathing fresh coastal air, and the quiet, laid back environment of my hometown. |
